What does your pet smell like when wet

Gave my cat tonight a bath and he smells like a wet burnt cigarette. Pretty nasty. What do you pets smell like?

I have the self-cleaning model as well. The aroma stays fairly consistent.

my cat's shampoo doesnt really smell bad. kind of a fresh smell.

this is pretty much it.

"wet dog" is its own unique smell that cannot be described adequately in other terms. unless it's right after a bath, then he smells like the shampoo
