Inspired by some thoughts in this thread.
So, what's it like in your head? I know this is a really unspecific way to ask the question but I'm not sure how to be clearer about this.
Whenever I'm watching film or television, a protagonist always simply voices his or her thoughts about a surrounding area and goes about his or her merry way. For me, it's not like this at all. I don't really 'converse' with myself or 'talk out' my thoughts; there's no use of dialogue or words in my own thoughts.
Whenever I interact with an object there's always so much superfluous information floating around but I'm just used to it. For example, if I were to pick up a glass I'm instantly 'aware' of so much information like what it's made of, any related physical or chemical confirmation relevant to it, memories of having used that same glass or others, etc. I'm guessing most people have the same experience and just kind of filter out the extra information?
edit: maybe this is all just sophomoric, crazy rambling. please let it be sophomoric, crazy rambling.
