What does your finance journal/log look like?

I used to use MS Money. Used it for 7 years. But after numerous times losing my data (backups didn't help), I gave up and now just handle everything manually. I don't use a check register, though, cause I can just look at my balance online anytime I want. I do have a forecasting worksheet in Excel, though.

I just keep a checkbook and let my bank's online features keep the balancing for me.

I don't keep track.

I have a good idea in my head of how much money I have and which accounts the money is in. I use online banking to verify the exact numbers and to pay my bills.

you won't notice bills in mine since i just pay them off with a credit card and just pay the credit card bill as one lump sum.

wow, just saw a picture of your finance ... mind if I can get a copy of the spreadsheet ... you can jimmy up the numbers if you like, but I like the organization and possibly the formulas you have in each cell

basically, actual details go on individual worksheets, but the individual worksheets are summed up in the first summary worksheet.
 
I've used Money for about 6 years now, it's great. I charge everything I can, and it automatically downloads transactions from my credit card companies so it is very easy to keep things up to date. Bill scheduling feature is good too, easy to see what's coming up.
