evident that's classy stuff!

I like the desk, I like the headphones... never did care for those type of keyboards, but it's a nice looking one.

Is that an animal bed of some kind on the right, on the floor?

Thanks!!

the headphones are probably the oldest thing i have of my computer... sennheiser hd-595. totally kick ass, and ergonomic keyboards are the only way to go for me.
the desk is completely made of solid wood. I think it could easily be $2000+... however I got it for $200 on craigslist 100 miles away. i had to rent a ford f-150 to put it in, so total cost of the desk was $200 + $100 for the rental 🙂 we still cant' believe we got this for so cheap either.

the thing on the right is a cat carrier. we leave it out so the cats go in it whenever they want to sleep and they're used to it. so when we need to take them somewhere they're completely cool and just walk in it

OP

Your camera sucks.

Your Mum-rah figure rules.

Thanks on the figure.

Yea I really need to get a new digital camera, or maybe my old one could still do alright... it's packed away somewhere.

I just use my iPhone 3GS which obviously isn't a very good option.

I like that Anubis, that's really slick.

Works well in that slanted upstairs area and everything is very nice and symmetrical. I like the look of the speakers. I like the two identical monitors.

Good shit.

Did you build the speakers? PartsExpress?

Either way, they look fantastic. Hopefully they sound as good as they look.
I've only recently been caring about the hardware I use for my audio. My current favorites in my growing speaker collection are some Polk Monitor 10's and a set of Acoustic Research Classic Model 18's.

they are DIY. 6.5" Bravox buyout woofer, Dayton DC28FST-8
sound noticeably better than the Energy RC-10s they replaced

What speakers are those? Are they active monitors or powered by an external amp?

they are some cheapy Dayton B652 from parts express. powered by a cheapy sonic impact T-amp. they sound excellent, however a subwoofer would be nice. i use my headphones most of the time. connected to a EMU-0404 USB.

My desk

The snake thing is probably 12 or 13 years old. I worked at McDonald's and we got those beanies from the manager. I put it on my monitor at home and it became monitor snake. 😛

You going to give us a location?

Given all the clues/pictures he's been posting on different treads, it's near this address.
Right by the Holland Tunnel. 36 floor high rise apartment complex.

## River Drive South, Jersey City, NJ 07310. :sneaky:

I can't stand when the tower is on the desk. Not only is it a big black box taking up space, it's loud too. I have it on the floor under the desk, but of course the negative is when I need to put in discs or USB plugs. Still, can't have the thing taking up a quarter of my desk with wires sticking out.

OP how did you install that hook for your headset on the tower??

Good question! I was tired of not having a really good place for the headphones so I found a flat painted black metal prong type hook thing... frankly I'm note even sure on what it's real purpose is, but anyway I found it at TrueValue or something. Hardware store.

It was maybe 10" long which was too much, so I sawed it down to like 4 inches.

The fact that it was flat was key because that meant I could wedge it between two of the grill-covered disc drive bays that weren't in use, on the front of the case.

The headphones had been falling off sometimes so I wrapped a lot of black electrical tape around the end to create a catch point the headphones haven't gone past so far.

Can I ask a personal favor? Can you cut the tag off that snake? It's bothering me 🙂
