I'm sure it was painful, but there are things that hurt more than catastrophic surgeries.
Perhaps you little snots don't really deserve a response, but I'll give you one, in brief. WombatWoman is "so loved and famous," as you put it, partly because she has demonstrated a generous and gracious spirit despite personal circumstances that would make you cringe. She has shared here her eccentric, soaring sense of humor (see my sig for a few examples,) and she has a concern for the well-being of this board that the moderators saw fit to reward (whether you know it or not, she was AnandTech's first female member to be given the "Elite" status, although she was hounded by envious oldtimers into relinquishing the title.)

But FFMCobalt I do know, and I must say that he fits right in with his pals at the Boomgames Forum, a batch of foul-mouthed and mean-spirited refugees from AnandTech, rejects and losers (and one self-crowned little princess) who can't feel good about themselves without constantly tearing others down.
