Without going into a discussion about how much you hate toms or their reviews, please give me an answer as to what program Tom uses to show his graphs. I am benchmarking a bunch of systems at work and I would like to make up some graphs similar to his in appearance. The plain old excel graphs looks stupid and I want to add a little pizazz.

You can make those exact graphs in Excel.

Use the Fill Effects options and you can get a gradient just like Tom's on the background (He appears to use a one color fill - a custom blue - set all the way to dark with horizontal gradient using one of the variants) as well as on the individual bars.

Use the Colors to individually color each bar, the text, the axis, and the gridlines.

Use the Style option to make the gridlines dashed.

Add data lables (using the value) to get the value printed next to each bar. Then color the data label (use 'none' for background and border, and then change the font color to yellow).

In 12 minutes I could duplicate this slide and type my arcane decription into Anandtech above. (With the exception of the icons for Tom's and the P4, but those shouldn't be too hard to crop out and put into Excel as well.)
