The symbol does look like it has an extra long tail -- like a dragon would have.

It's the logo for a Canadian Skateboarding company RDS Red Dragon Skate also makers of Red Dragon Apparel. It is indeed a modified Chinese Zhong character but highly stylized. Zhong does not have the heavy club like upper portion, it's even in thickness.

Well shit. Maybe two different styles?

Sorry nope ;)

There are indeed 2 different character sets for Chinese, simplified and traditional. The character above is the simplified form used in mainland china after Mao introduced simplified Chinese to the "masses". The older traditional character set uses: ?

Otherwise there aren't such things as "different styles". Only different fonts like there are for English.

Oh good... I was going ot say, ? <--that ain't a damn dragon. ?. Traditional 4 lyfe!!!!1!111oen11!

But yeah, dragon has like 17 strokes... middle has 4. Better go back to middle school :p

Also, the last link to 'dragon' is fairly stylized without really being "cursive" (well the chinese equiv of cursive anyway). This is the "print" form: dragon
