While trying to install Mandrake, it got almost done the installtion till it aborted....

here's what it said:

Sun July 23 18:52 2000 Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library at /usr/bin/perl-install/install_steps_gtk.pm line 240.
install exited abnormally -- recieved signal 11
sending termination signals...done
etc...

heres another thing
my first install attempt worked fine, however it didnt support my matrox mill 2 PCI card, wouldnt install X and could only do command line things. Took that card out and installed a Number 9 Imagine PCI card in hopes that it would work. So far its not working so great... i can reboot the system after the failure and it asks me to log in, but i havnt created any accounts so how can i log in?

grr
😛

What id like to do is start from scratch, wipe the drive and start over.

The error means you should post this in the OS forum. 😛

More seriously, could you have a bad CD burn or ISO download? I've installed LM7.1 on a few systems with no errors like that.
