I am in the process of replacing my PSU to the Antec listed below.

While testing system using the old 300W backup I have with just CPU, Vid card and 1 mem
stick attached, after Post I get to a screen that shows normal except for:

CMOS battery low

I changed the battery but still get the msg.

Upon trying again, I get the msg:
CMOS settings incorrect.

I reset the CMOS jumper after shutting down and upon reboot it goes away but
shows the battery low msg again.

Any thoughts?

thanks....Lava

Your new battery could be dead too. Try testing it. The connections in the battery slot are coroded from your last battery leaking acid etc. Try cleaning them with an eraser. Another idea could be that the metal tabs in the battery slot were bent when you removed your old battery. Make sure they are making contact with the new battery.

A CMOS battery should last at least 5 years, maybe as long as 10 years. It depends how long you have the computer powered off. I have seen this problem before and not been able to fix it. I think sometimes it is the motherboard.

yep, make sure when you reset the cmos jumper the PSU is unplugged otherwise the cmos isn't getting cleared otherwise your replacement battery may also be on low charge as mentioned.
