For me, I'm 27 and graduated with a law degree in '05, then worked at a small firm until June '07. I ended up leaving for a couple reasons (talk of the firm closing because of finances; plus I was itching to travel out of the country for the first time). I took 8 months, and somehow during that time the market tanked. I came back and places that called me for an interview had to drop the positions. The state's cut about 300 court jobs and most places around here advertising positions have been swamped with applicants.
So I've been unemployed for 3 months and have been seriously considering going to Asia to teach English for a while (no problem finding work there), as a last resort. I'm trying not to think about why I spent $50K on a law degree to teach something I could've done with my bachelor's (enough things keeping me awake at night).
I'm not much of a drinker but I think I need a :beer:
