Honestly, I like it. I mean XBOX 2 sounds lame. I think PS3 shouldn't be called PS3. But why go with 360? Is it a full circle revolution? Hehehehehe.

From what I've read, 360 is supposed to stand for something like an all-encompassing experience. Hardware, software, Live!, MediaCenter, etc.

plus since the next PS is going to be PS3, they didnt want XB2 to have a lower number. Also the Nintendo is supposed to be called the Revolution and 360 degrees is a revolution so it takes away from that as well.

It means that xbox has now become full Circle, or in other words it is combining a bunch of crap together seamlessly..

it reminds me of that basketball player who said:
"I'm going to turn this team around 360 degrees...."

Maybe that's what this xbox is going to do.... turn the gaming industry around 360 degrees!

It's the number of degrees I roll my eyes when people claim this will replace the PC for gaming.

its simple. xbox is only at 2. ps is at 3. 3 is bigger than 2. it makes it look bad and people might assume xbox is a generation behind. so 360 is a 3, it matches up better when both systems are mentioned.

Pretty much what I was getting at :p Though I wouldn't be surprised if it went over the heads of most of those who'll be buying one ;)
