Yes, it was needed.

We would have lost more WU's if cheaters are allowed to stay. Mine, for instance.

I can't understand why there isn't more hue and cry here. The mods lock a couple of posts and there is a near revolt. Cheaters get found on other teams and there is mass postings condemning them. One of our own gets caught and there is almost silence or requests to put this behind us? The cheater was going to be allowed to stay on our team?

Who knows? I never saw any explanation, it was assumed the WU's were removed from that account due to cheating.

That does not mean those guys cheated (Cygor & Cobra). It also does not mean that one or both of them did not cheat.

I hope everyone is aware that all someone needs to "terrorize" your seti account is to get your seti email address then start producing bad units into it. That could have been the case with this account, it is unknown.

I haven't personally heard anyone directly accuse Cygor & Cobra of cheating.

I believe that would be premature.

All we know is that about 50K units went missing out of their account in the style that happens when S@H cleans out bad units.

Imagine how it might wreck your day if someone got your account address & started messing with it. I know it would hurt me.

I agree. The Phantom Flusher:| hijacked my RC5 account, and others. I eventually stopped using that account and joined the TWTA mini-team instead. We never heard back from the DNET folks if he was a hacker or someone who just had a warped sense of helping out. :|
I'm still mad about it. :|
