What does MT mean in 1600/2000 MT?

Im looking over the manual for the A8N32 and it has the front side bus listed as 1600/2000 MT per second. What does the MT mean. I understand that the 1600/2000 means that the FSB/HTT bus operates at 1600 or 2000MHz but I don't have a clue what the MT part means.

The HT bus is bidirectional, meaning at 1000MHz it can send 1000 million transactions each way, or 2000 MTs total... So I'd guess this might be "Million Transactions"... Probably not, but I thought I could give it a try...

MT stands for 'Megatransfers'.
