What does "Map Network Drive" mean??

what does it mean? i will have my home network set up very soon and would like to know if i need to do it or not etc...

It allows you to map a certain location/folder etc. to a drive letter.

Say for example you had a computer on the network called "London" and you wanted your other computer to have an X:\ that was mapped to the C:\ of London you would do it through there.
