2 questions:

1. Does the maid speak English or Spanish?
2. Where do you live?

Somewhere between $50 and $150

Are these questions for me?

If so, (1) Mostly Spanish (2) San Diego. She's unbelievable-- it took so long to find a good maid, I went through several. She sweeps the outside path for me, does whatever dishes there is, washes the sheets (and whatever else is in the laundry room needing washing), even cleans the outside of my french doors (and some windows). She occasionally cleans the oven too (she keeps track of it). I can leave the house and she'll take care of everything, best of all I know she doesn't steal.

If this was a question for someone else, sorry.

I would say you are.

Thank you for everyone who posted something helpful. Thats what I was looking for. I appreciate you helping me get a general idea. We'll just ignore the jerk who felt the need to post here so he can go back to watching WWE and eating mayonnaise sandwiches.

my ex boyfriend had a maid come in twice a month for a few hours each time to clean the whole house (2 story, 3 bedrooms, two living rooms, kitchen) for $100.

How much does mayonaise cost where I live? Just curious. No really, what's the going rate for some mayonaise around here?

At least admit that it was a flawed question in the first place. Seriously, do you feel confident enough to pay for a maid by now? I don't and I'm not even looking to get one, but if I did, I'd call locally. That's just me though. ;)

a flawed question? I was just looking to see what people pay in general. And I doubt the price of mayo flucuates that much.

I mean c'mon?! Who can honestly answer any of these. At least give people a full picture by including what parallel dimension, galaxy, solar system, planet, continent, country, state/province, county, city and plane of existence you're asking about! Maybe someone can provide you with better information that way. Otherwise you're burning through 1's and 0's and taking more than your fair share, you inconsiderate and greedy bastard. :D

Geee, a Diamond member, and you aren't smart enough to check his profile before posting that? :p :) Do you know how many 1's and 0's I burned through to simply see your post, let alone the number of potassium ions that were roaming from neuron to neuron trying to figure out why you don't comprehend the profile button? What logical reason do you have to not use it? Besides, the rest of us knew where he was from. :) :p

wtf?
Daveymark, what are you doing bumping a nearly 2 month old thread? How did you even run into it?
I even put some effort into the previous post. Wasted effort. *sigh*

Maid services suck in general.

The best ones are the ones you get on a referral basis only.

We've had our cleaning lady for 13 years now, almost one of the family.

Comes once a week, now with a crew of 2 other people, cleans the entire house in 4 hours, also comes to help out when we have people over for dinner for free.

Costs us $75, and we have it done every two weeks. Makes a huge difference in our quality of life, especially on the weekends, where we can now spend time together as a family and not worry about cleaning.
