What does it mean when a shirt has buttons on the left side?

Fine, maybe you have a shirt made for a lefty or maybe it's a unisex shirt, but GENERALLY left-hand button shirts are reserved for women.

You're right, I should have ignorantly quoted him and mocked him for being a crossdresser, my mistake.

Buttons on the left is because ppl used to have servants dress them.. and its easier for the servants to do it if its on their normally "right" hand. Left or right doesnt mean its necessarily a gender based shirt though.
