What does it mean to have an "animated face?"

I have been told often I have an animated face, as well as sharp features?
What exactly does "animated" mean in this sense?
Why can't I just be unreadable and mysterious :-(

Actually, I don't like animated faces so much. Those people tend to exaggerate pain and wear it on their face like a mime.
