What Does It Look Like When an LCD Project Bulb is Dying?

Recently the colors on my LCD projection TV has been having issues. Basically it seems like the red part of the picture is coming and going. Is this a symptom of the bulb going? The TV is about 4 years old.

If it's only one color, I would suspect something's wrong with that particular LCD panel or the video circuitry associated with that one color. With a bulb issue, that would likely affect all colors since it's the light source for all three.
