What Does "I'll Bet You Dollars to Donuts" mean?

It means "I am so sure I'm right, I will bet my dollars against your donuts."

Meaning that even though I am wagering a lot more than you (in value), I'm not worried since I know I'll win.

answer this...what is declining faster....the value of the american dollar or the value of the high carb donut?

Bummer! Now I'm craving a good ol' fashioned chocolate glazed custard filled donut from Krispy Kreme...think I need to ask my husband to take me out for dessert tonight!!!

Ugh, krispy kreme. I get sick every time I drive by that place. And it's centrally located, so I always drive by and smell that overbearing sweet smell that makes me want to throw up.

Fresh baked HEB ftw (since there's no dunkin or Sheetz around, and sheetz doesn't make their own donuts anymore anyway 🙁 )

Back in the day...donuts used to be 5 to 10 cents each...so betting a dollar against a donut was pretty good odds.

The last krispy kreme in the city went out of business this spring, here. 🙁

Happily, the KrispyKreme here folded a couple of years ago. No one bought their crappy air-filled sugar puffs. The REAL donut shops are doing great business.

The doughnut shop in my town, Winchell's, is the dirtiest place I have ever seen. They still get tons of business though, because they are the only ones. They don't even repiar vandalism or change the lights in their signs.
