I do not want this thread to turn political, just wants your ideas and opinions on this. I personally think it is the biggest threat to the US right now, and most don't even know about it.
 
I'm a Canadian, and I'm a strongly against this. I don't want an Amero, I don't want our borders removed.

Frankly, I have no interest in being more confused for an American than I already am. I'm sure you Americans would not be impressed to be thought of as a Canadian, either. Or a Mexican...
 
It has interesting economic implications. From what I understand we are already quite close to Canada economically and socially so I doubt it would be a big jump. Mexico is another issue. I think it would be hard enough for Americans (I can't speak for Canadians) to not see this as giving up part our country for an economic union with Canada. Mexico, with immigration - illegal and otherwise, would be next to impossible right now.

look at the INSTA-decline of west germany when east germany reunited w/it. they still havent reovered to pre-coldwar status.

on the other hand, the #1 thing that east germans bought when they were freed were west german porn. and the porn industry hit another golden age

Because everything that you google *has* to be true. Until I see it introduced as a bill in Congress, which it will have to be, I think it's crap.
 
Along with the whole NWO thing, it's a terrible idea. Not because it's a bad idea in itself, but rather because the people that would be pushing it are authoritarian assholes and I'd rather see them hung and killed than running our lives.

It's the same reason that Anarchy wouldn't work, but is a good IDEA. That reason being people are just retarded and/or are douche-bags that will do anything and everything in their power to KEEP their power.
 
If we merged with Cananda and took the best of both countries(which means not letting the french in..i kid i kid) I wouldn't mind that. We are both strong economic countries and similar in a lot of other ways. Mexico...not so much.
 
this is highly plausible. But definitely possible. There would have to be a HUGE conspiracy to keep something like this from the public

Any politician that even *considers* this as an option should be thrown out of office and out of the country immediately.

So who'd you vote for last election? Honestly they were all nitwits and I didn't want to vote for any of them but I voted for Kerry who I thought was marginally the lesser of two evils.
