Personal router (under $300), I'd DEFINITELY say SMC Barricade. I've configured two home networks with them, and both work flawlessly. Customer support is top notch, as they responded to an e-mail about configuring the built-in print server within 24 hours. If you consider the built-in unidirectional print server, the auto-sensing MDX/MDIO so you can hook it up to a hub with either a regular OR crossover cable on any port, the limited lifetime warranty, features like compatibility with outgoing Netmeeting out of the box and many VPNs, and excellent performance, it's no wonder they're good.
