The recent song by train drops of jupiter is awsome. The lyrics though, i listen to them and read them and keep gettin lost in what it means. So what does it mean?

I wouldn't take that line literally. I think he's asking if she found someone out there without emotional baggage, but the line makes you think that he has some of his own.

Literally, drops of jupiter means something very corrosive, because jupiter has a corrosive atmosphere. At least thats what I understood when I watched the Grammy show.

I don't know if she's staying with him for good...but he's telling her about how good the stuff here is

The planets aren't necessarily guys...just stuff she's experienced that's exciting

It kind of sounds like she may have the narrator's best friend, not really his girlfriend. Maybe it is she went off to college a ways away, and he is asking about it after she returns.

What I get from it is its a song about a guy who loved a girl, they were possibly best friends, I havent decided that definatively yet, couldnt tell her(I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol' Jane Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land), and these are his thoughts to her when she left to find something better than what she (knew) she had. I see it as him hoping she found whatever she was looking for, but still holding out hope that he might be included in that.

By that bit i get the idea that he never moved on? And never dated anyone else? He was to affraid to fly (find someone else) and land (stay with that new person) because he loved this other girl so much?

I think the person was flying, but never landed = never hooked up for good with a girl.

It may be about a person who had a girl and she went of on her own journey (could be college, or LA, or just something) and now she is more sophisticated (or has had more/different experiences). Maybe the girl is not sure or she is not as cordual as she once was because she has drops of jupiter in her hair, yet the guy still longs for her. Maybe she moved on, but he didn't and she is back in town (or in a similar situation as he is in). Maybe he loves her from afar. Not really sure. Still thinking about it really.
