nahh ati is called ATI Technologies

so Adavanced Technologies Inc Technologies wouldn't make sense...

i don't think it means anything at all
if you look up it's stock or something.. ATYT.. it'll say the company is called ATI Technologies.

If you look up AMD for example, it'll say Advanced Micro Devices Inc
 
If you look on Nasdaq they usually list full company names, but it's listed as ATi Technologies. My guess is it stands for nothing, but don't really have the energy to do a full google research.

So, then, if they say now "ATI Technologies" and ATYT for the Nasdaq and all, it means they've got a nasty case of repetition on their hands...
 
Not really - the name was amended from Array Technologies Inc. to ATI Technologies Inc. - the second name isn't an acronym of the first.
 
so ati technologys inc is what ATI stands for and ATI Technologys Inc is the full name so what we have here is an infinate loop😕

Yeah, that's like when KFC says that "KFC" doesn't stand for "kentucy fried chicken" and the DVD consortium claims that DVD doesn't stand for "digital video disc".
 
zepherprime, DVD did actually stand for "digital video disc", but when it was started to be used for stuff other than just video, they changed it to mean "digital versatile disc".
