CIS relates to application programming or network administration but if you look at CIS from an enterprise structure there is the component of IT governance and assurance, network infrastructure and security, application development, user Support and various other group. But behind these various breakdowns you have metrics and methodologies that help provide smooth transitions. And CIS is about using those metrics and methodologies to work easier.
