What does a case window do to noise?

I wonder if those of you with case windows could help enlighten me. Do you notice a decrease, increase, or same levels of noise?
 
My parents noticed a difference when I put a small window in their case 🙂 They're pretty sensative to noise and the plexi I used was alot thinner than the metal panel it replaced...but I doubt you'll generally notice much of a difference.
 
My friend and I both have an hhc-001 heatsink with the same hsf. I have the lian li pc 65 w/window and he has an enlight 7230. There is absolutely no noise difference that either of us can notice.
