Discussion What do you want for Christmas?

that people enjoy Christmas and don't get stressed about the little stuff. If your faimly is all alive and you get to spend time together, it really does not matter if someone shows up late or the rolls get burned.

also, to complete a contract for a pole barn and have a solid start date!
 
We just buy what we want during the year, so when X-mas comes around, all that's left is worthless junk to buy. Not worth the trouble.
 
Nothing I really need in terms of stuff this year and not going anywhere .... just looking forward to seeing my daughter and eating a good meal.
 
I wouldn't mind this Venom bust under the tree this year.

I just want a normal pre 2020 society again, pre 2001 would be even better, but I'll settle for pre 2020. But that's dreaming, so I just want to win the 2020 draw I'm in, there is one every month to raise money for our hospital and it usually yields a few 100k. That would be life changing for me. It would put me in a position where I don't really need to worry about job security anymore as it would give me a buffer in case I do lose my job. Would pay off house too.

Seriously though there's not really anything specific I really want, just want to spend time with family and enjoy myself. Possibly get borderline drunk on wine with grandma. That's always a good time. 😛

Realistic - Working on it. I got a tremendous deal on a 1990 ESP Horizon Custom (guitar) and I'm working with a well known artist/painter to have to it refinished to a new color. The guy is very respected in the guitar community, but he recently retired and is highly selective in jobs he takes. I talked to him and he agreed to take on my guitar and refinish it for me. Wife is going to pick up the tab on that for part of my xmas gift. I'm super stoked for that 😀

Pipe Dream - Covid cure and the world to return to normal. I miss doing a lot of family things that are difficult or almost impossible to do. I really want to travel internationally again.
 
I always struggle for gifts as we're not big into having "stuff". Biggest wish would be for COVID to be more under control - for a variety of unselfish reasons but also because holidays and work breaks line up really well for a big trip next Christmas and spring break and I've got a crap ton of miles and vacation days to take us anywhere we want to go (besides Antarctica)
 
Tesla Model S Plaid would be nice. Other than that, really nothing material wise. I would like to go skiing out West. But there's not really any good places to ski this early in the season, right? I read the best time to go skiing in Utah and Colorado is around early March since that's when it snows the most.

I haven’t been skiing in such a long time, I really miss it. New England skiing is great but to get to really big powder you gotta go west ❤️

My oldest daughter lives in Texas now and I would love to visit her, a good friend lives in Sweetwater and lives an actual cowboy lifestyle, she is an amazing cook and I would also love to visit her on the ranch. I haven’t been on a horse in a very long time
