What do you use to rip CDs?

Just curious what everyone uses to rip CDs... I was using Creative's Media Source program to rip CDs but my computer seems to have audio problems with that program installed so I uninstalled it and refuse to use it again. Can anyone recommend a good freeware program to rip CDs with?
On a related note: I need to find a program that will allow me to burn DVD audio discs. Nero 6 doesn't seem to have this option Any thoughts?
What I'm trying to do is rip a 10 disc audio set to one or two DVDs so I don't have to swap out discs all the time.

I used WMP9 to rip to wmv. I've found it's better sound for the file size.

EAC + Monkey's Audio. When I play my LAME-encoded mp3s vs. my MAC-encoded files, I can really hear the difference. Lossless rocks.

APE - lossless; wont ever ever have to rerip the cd ever again; archiving
MPC - best lossy codec at high bitrate - native replaygain, APE2, gapless playback
AAC - either LC or Nero for iPod
lame 3.93 - --alt-preset 160 for my gf's mp3 /cd player

EAC + OggDrop. Vorbis rapes mp3 quality at pretty much any bitrate. I compared WMP9 and Vorbis, I couldn't tell much of a difference but since Vorbis is open source that's what I use.
