winamp if it's already in my collection. If it's something new, I right-click --> open in windows media player (so it doesn't mess up my Winamp playlist).

winamp/foobar2k. Foobar2k is great for low utilization when I want to queue up a bunch of songs and then play a game. Winamp is great for when I want to broadcast music to other people, all of my settings are configured differently for the 2 applications.

Winamp 5
Soundstorm
Sony V6s

I was a *long* time Winamp 2.x user, but I started wanting more functionality. Within the last year I have tried just about every major player out there, and I can't find one that satisfies all my needs. Winamp 5 comes closest, but it's got a few annoying quirks. Itunes has the UI down, but I don't like being tied into iTunes's file structure, and it's a real resource hog. QCD is barely a step above Winamp 2.x. The list goes on... :X

Winamp. I like how it folds up into just a tiny bar and can be docked at the top of the screen.
