I have an entertainment center PC (or so I like to call it) that is hooked to my TV all the time. Right now it is a mid tower case with a case fan in bottom front blowing in, drive bay cooling fan blowing in and across tword the back, a case fan in back around by the cpu blowing out, a slot cooler next to my video card blowing out and of course the p/s fan blowing out. I have a 1ghz at 1.3 ghz and the cpu is usually around 45-48 degrees idle and I have never seen it above 53degrees max (using MBM and room temp really varies from 70-76 lol).
Do you think cutting out around the fan holes would improve cooling a lot? Or getting rid of the slot fan, and finally turning over the cpu fan so that it pulls air away from the heatsink as opposed to blowing on it (since fan in back is exhausting air.
