What do you think the next galaxy will have?

IMO the Galaxy line pushes ahead stronger than the competition, I can't imagine where they will be a few generations down the road. What are you realistically hoping to see in the next Galaxy?

No Samsung phone will ever look like that again.

You know who to blame.

Well, the bezels on the top and bottom aren't the same as the bezels on the side. Apple only had the patents for uniform bezels on all 4 sides. :p

Kinda moot to speculate on the specs of the Key Lime Nexii, since there's going to be 5 manufacturers, or so, making them. With some of the recent rumblings from AOSP and Sony Xperias, I'm curious to see where that leads. Sony's phone strategy is so scatter brained and mismanaged that, despite their usually solid build quality and specs, they're a joke.

All shapes are already in use (and patented), hence no more smart phones except for the next generation Iphones.

At this point, I expect a 1.0-1.3ghz DC A15 based processor, 2GB of RAM, hopefully some level of PowerVR 600. I think the 4.65" screen will persist, but think it won't be pentile. 8MP camera finally. Think it'll dirtch the curved glass design. Will be made mostly of plastic. Will lose the hump except for the camera. It'll launch in the US on AT&T. Verizon won't sell it subsidized. Sprint will get sloppy seconds.

pentaband & made by htc is all i'm hoping for.

This. Heck, I'd even prefer if it used the HTC HD2 shell, same display 4.3" size but 720p, all in 122mm height body. I hate the extra top/bottom bezel that all new phones have now. Most things w/ a decent screen are now 130mm+ or taller.

I'd love to see an Xperia T upgraded with AOSP android, S4 Pro (dual core or quad, either way), pentaband UMTS and multiband LTE, hydrophobic coating like the xperia V, and a bigger battery (even if its thicker). But that would be a dream phone from anybody, right now.

It would be nice to see not-Krait A15 SoC designs on the market before the end of the year, but even that might be too optimistic.

I would love to see a Moto one. Long battery life, awesome call quality, loud speaker, etc.

I'd be happy if they'd fix the issues with the current one and call it a Galaxy Nexus II.

IE:

Screen: Current one has the annoying screen door effect, and a bit of image retention, plus it doesn't do well with dark colors (purple hue)
Cellular radio: I seem to get worse signal reception than my other T-mo friends, in the exact same areas.
Speaker: Damn thing is as quiet as a mouse. If I'm at work I can't hear the notifications go off in my pocket, that's annoying.
Camera: I don't take a lot of pictures with my Nexus, but I sure would like it to be similar in quality to say an iPhone 4S, that's a good benchmark.
Battery Life: This just goes for battery tech in general, we need some new discovery that segment has been pretty stagnant for a while, cram a 5000 mAh battery in there without increasing thickness would be awesome.

Either way, I'm still buying it when it comes out in Nov-Dec, at I would imagine the 399 price point, maybe even lower this time.

xperia T is indeed pentaband according to the FCC reports

I think OP is talking about the Samsung Galaxy S line rather than the Google Nexus.

I kind of lost interest in any Android phone/device other than the Nexus line so it's going to take something incredible from Samsung to get me to buy their next Galaxy S. I was impressed with their international SGS2 but it was delayed in the US so I lost interest waiting. SGS3 didn't impress me, rather disappointed me hardware wise. I wanted A15 dual core and at least 720p RGB. I didn't get either. SGS4 needs 1080p A15 dual core minimum. After SGS3, I don't know if Samsung has the design/engineering/manufacturing talent to pull it off.

who knows. they tried to make the S3 immune to apple suits but that didn't work. so who knows what the fuck the next phone will look like.

there aren't really many shapes they can use that are actually worth useing.

I just want JB on my current S3. Not sure hardware is the limiting factor anymore, though gaming isn't my main use of a smartphone.

1080p is way overboard for a phone.
