I mostly went for sound other than looks. Hey, atleast it hits around 153dB's.

Was a penis included when you purchased all that?

At least I have the hardest hitting system on this site.(anandtech)

It's not about the db's, it's about the sq.

With 15's, I like to have a pair of 10's for the midbass. Helps keep the range even.

Edit: I got ya before you changed it. ;)

It looks good, but for me it would be superfluous. I liek bass, but too much bass and it becomes overbearing. I like to 'chat' in the car, not scream my fvkign face off telling someone to repeat what they jsut said once again because I didn't ehar them:D

Looks like the waste of a trunk to me, but then again I was never into SPL's. It's a clean looking install though.

1. I agree with bigfil - flush mount all the way! Build an amp rack or something.
2. Capacitors don't do jack in the long-run - they're a bandaid for a weak powersupply to your system. Do the 'big 3' upgrade and upgrade your alternator/battery if need be.

Just out of curiosity, is there enough distance between the woofers, at xmax, so they don't hit the amps/equipment? It looks a little cramped, but I can't tell from the pic. What components are you running?

I'm with MrPickins - SQL > SPL, but hey, different strokes for different folks. ;)

It has a lot of room. Those subs never touched the amp. I'm running mb quarts for my components. I also have three batteries connected.

If you have three batteries, am I safe to assume you were wise enough to upgrade your alternator? That is going to put some really heavy strain on your electrical system unless you upgrade.

Either way, ditch the caps.

Very nice.

Now all you'll be worrying about is cops nearby so you don't get loud stereo tickets....that gets annoying real quick.

I've never been a fan of "systems". I guess it's because I've trained my ears to listen to all frequencies, instead of just 90% bass. I like to hear everything equally. Plus I don't like to make myself and everyone else in a 30-foot radius deaf.

I don't bass out a lot. And if I do, it won't be turned up.

Kicker

aww c'mon? Why did you not go with a quality SPL set-up. 153db from 2 15" subs is pretty weak IMO. I think you could get the same SPL from better quality subs and have better sound.
