As a whole, there aren't any "good" or bad brands. It comes down on the specific GPU's. If you want nVidia, their best price/performance card is currently the 560 Ti 448, which is built on a 570 core with better PCB's than the 570's. This one's built on a 580 PCB with a solid cooler.

Wow, this is so wrong. $50 more for the same performance as a 6950? I think not.

EDIT: I can't believe that review site only compared Nvidia to Nvidia in their review. What bunk.

Probably not. Most deff not.
I am just so confused with all the stuff lol.
New things coming out, prices changing, hardware after hardware.
I want something that will hold up for 3-4 years like my current computer has.
Something that for now I can stream gameplay content, play on high settings and maintain quality fps with little to no video lag.

I am for sure going with that original mobo in the OP and the processor.
As far as video / psu / case.. im all ears. Just want something good.

You have over 10k posts and seem to know your stuff. If you would that'd be great, otherwise thats cool too and ill keep looking around.

Never used ati, but i can give it a shot if its going to be the same performance for less.

Your original was actually quite good. I recommend swapping the GPU out for a less expensive GTX 560 Ti or a $240 6950 2GB (personally I would do the 6950 2GB).

No GPU that you buy today will play the games of 4 years from now on high settings, but the rest of the parts should hold up OK. Just plan to spend $200 on another GPU in 2 years or so.
