My oldest son is named Hayden Christopher.

Our thought was that if he hated the name Hayden, he could always use the more-common name Chris or Christopher. That being said, he seems to like the name Hayden so far.

Edit: Our second son is named Brandon Patrick.

You gave your sons TWO first names? EACH?!

No - that's first and middle. Don't you have a middle name?

My sister gave her two sons two middle names each... four names total (first, middle, middle, last). That's just wrong. :p

I think that he meant Hayden and CHristopher could both be first names. Also Brandon and Patrick could be first names. I can't trust a man with two first names.

No I thought he meant those were both first names, since he hinted that his son could have choosen either one, usually you don't call people by thier middle name?

Lucas would be better than Luca, as it's much more common. Whatever you do, don't name them after your favorite toppings. Three brothers at my friend's school are named Butter, Caramel, and Peppermint. :frown:

Second kid - my wife kept shooting down all my name ideas so we went with - Rebekah Karli

Parents who give their kids common names with uncommon spellings forcing their children to spell out their name for the rest of their lives should be barred from having children.

Rebekah is a common alternate spelling to Rebecca.

People who give out ignorant opinions should be barred from giving out more opinions.

Personally I've never heard of it and I'm going to go out on a limb and say in the vast majority of the US if you asked someone how to spell that name they would spell it Rebecca thus requiring her to spell it constantly. Trust me, it's a pain in the ass, I've been doing it my whole life.

Welcome to teh intarweb!

I fail to see the how Rebekah/Rebecca will adversely affect my daughter. My first name is an alternate spelling as well. On top of that, I go by my middle name. And yet there are other things in my life that are a great deal bigger pains in the ass than whether or not my name gets spelled correctly on my mail.
