I'm getting sort of confused here, since people either say they like it or hate it, there's nothing in the middle (i.e. "it's ok I guess..."). So the name is deffinitly making an impact, I'm trying to detrmin if its a good one or a bad one.

my last name is Rowe, I have tried to convince my girlfriend that when we have kids I will name them either:

Death Rowe
Guy Rowe
Skid Rowe
Toma Rowe

or my personal favorite..

Ruh Rowe ( All hail Scooby)

😀

My last name is Grill so I was getting suggestions like:
George Foreman Grill
Barbie Q Grill
Char Grill
and on and on

You sir, are bound by the man code of ethics to name your first born son....

Webber

If you do not, you shall turn in said mancard at the nearest mancard facility.

😀

I couldn't get Webber to pay me any money for that.

In all honesty, that name to me seems unfinished ie. luca(s) or luca(n) or luca(sarts)

I personally do not like it, and could potentially see it turning your kid emo. 😉

#1 Satya Morrigan
#2 Esme Astrid
#3 Elisha Martha

Satya is sanskrit for 'truthfulness" Morrigan is from Irish mythology thus the east and the west

Esme is from the JD salinger story, Astrid is Scandinavian and means divine strength Western literature and a component of spirituality

Elisha and Martha are both family names (Martha is my wife's identical twin).

All the names we chose in some way reflect something important to us.

What do you think of this name for him? (obviously it works in EU... but the states is the issue here).
Anyway, how about other name suggestions?
and I remmember seeing here once a cool site which had charts for child's name popularity with graph over the years for every inputed name... anyone remmembers the link?

do it, but only if you want your kid to hate you

And speaking of mindless Hollywood c*cksuckers, before Charlton Heston became President of these d*ckless lunatics in the NRA, they had a different guy. He's still one of their major spokesman, and his name is Wayne LaPierre. Doesn't that sound a bit fruitty to you? "Hi, I'm Wayne, I'm a gun person. Bang bang!" You know what this guy's name ought to be? Biff Webster. Spud Crowley, a man's name! Chuck Steak!

reminds me of that Suzanne Vega song,

"My name is Luka I live on the second floor I live upstairs from you Yes I think you've seen me before ..."

So, in that case it would be a girl's name.

Yes, its Luka Vs. Luca (the first is Hungarian girl name, the later is Italian Boy name..)

I've never met anyone called Luka, but Luca is a (fairly uncommon) girl's name in Hungary.
On the other hand, it is a boy's name in Italy, the Italian guitarist and composer Luca Turilli is one of the numerous famous male Lucas in existence. The name Luca also has two different pronunciations.

I think in the US, Luke or Lucas would go over better. Male names that end in the "ah" sound would definately get odd looks and could be confused with a woman. He'll get lots of emails that start like this: "Dear Ms. Luca DrCrap,"

And if you go with Luke or Lucas, you can always call him Luca as a nickname.

I think the #1 rule to naming a child is to NOT name a child a name that you like. Instead, name your child a name that you yourself would want to have. Don't name your kid "Apple" or "Skid Rowe" because they are cute or funny. Honestly, as a man do you want to be called "Apple"? Probably not.
