What do you think of this montior?

19" CRT with .20mm dot pitch... very affordable ($182)?

This is the only part that worries me:

640 x 480@72, 75, 85Hz
800 x 600@56, 60, 72, 75, 85Hz
1024 x 768@87i , 60, 70, 72, 75, 85Hz
1280 x 1024@60, 75Hz
1600 x 1200@60Hz

I want this as a "gaming" montior. How do you feel about the resolutions and especially the refresh rates associated with those resolutions? Are the refresh rates too low for a gamer?

P.S. About gaming on a 19" monitor, what is your recommended resolution (in games) and what about in windows?

Depending on how much you see flicker. I would only pick it up if it could do 1280x1024 at 85hz, but if you can't see flicker at 75hz, then wth.

sounds like a samsung 955df to me, same specs, .20mm dot, 1280x1024@75Hz

running it at 1280x1024 or lower is absolutely fine, at 1600, you can't see all the detail clearly and the flicker unbearable
for gaming, it should be good, i haven't noticed any problems

then again, some eyes are more sensitive than others, i have no problem with 75+ refresh but other people can see flicker at 80 or more, if that's the case the specs should also let you run 1280x960@85hz, mine does
