hello everyone..
After a huge research i finally selected the components for a new build, a replacement to my 6yr old amd athlon 3000+ cpu. 1gig ram, 64mb via chrome9 igpu and bla bla bla..
I am new to building a pc..

As everyone mentions to fill out the sticky first before asking about a new build there i go...
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=80121

1. very simple, everyday works using ms office, handling pdf's, lots of browsing, watching movies(more), listening music, editing music(just cutting songs for ringtones), converting videos for mobile phone, little photoshoping, and casual gaming. Over all 80-85% regular tasks a 15% gaming(just casual)

2. budget Rs.35000 - Rs.40000 (INR)
Note: I'll manage all other peripherals myself this budget is for the BOX.

3. All the parts within india.

4. From the site http://www.flipkart.com/

5. hmmm brand preference huh??? I wanna go with intel, ati(as they are cheaper), and WD, Gskill..................

6. No parts available for reuse.

7. No overclocking and bla bla bla..

8. resolution doesnt matter for me.

9. I'll place the order as soon as i get convinced with your replies that my build is complete.

X. No softwares necessary.

Now here is my build that i figured out after a huge research.......

I am confused about the graphic card mainly between those i mentioned. Not only the two but i also doubt that both of those would be higher than what i can really be satisfied with, bcoz after a bit of googling i found the benchmarks which were very high for my range of gaming. Let me tell you the i have been playing many games and completed many of them(like NFS most wanted, Prince of Persia Warrior within, the two thrones, sands of time, and many more....) with the weakest gpu without getting irritated!!!!!. now you might have understood how casual my gaming is:biggrin: Suggest one card with which i can move through the next 5 years..

I also put an ssd in my build. This pc gonna be a home pc and all other will be using it especially my dad and sis who doesnt bother about the components in, but want the pc to respond faster, so im gonna be using it as the boot drive and for apps.. I expect the pc to last for atleast a 5yrs or so..

Hufffffffffff... Then what do you think guys is it a good build for my use????? Any suggestions would be appreciated..

THANK YOU ALL in advance......

P.S:- You might have understood seeing the wording that im a teen and YES i am 16:biggrin: This is my first build and hope it works..

I would let go of your bias for the memory and switch out your PSU for something much lower powered.

Corsair 1x4GB stick 2782 INR (two of these)
VS350 Corsair PSU 2070 INR

As seen in this Bench, the 7750 is pretty much better in every way than the 6670. If you can fit it into your budget, I would definitely get it.

Agree on these parts. 350W is plenty for this CPU and class of GPU.

OP, the rest of your build looks pretty much OK to me. The only thing that I have some reservations about is the the Vertex 3 SSD because the Sandforce controller isn't the world's most reliable. Flipkart doesn't have that great of a 60GB SSD selection, but I would recommend taking a look at the Intel 330 if you can afford it.

Manufacturers often overrate the needs (power-wise) of their cards because some people are going to buy a generic (and thus badly built) PSU which can't handle the load they say they can. You'll be fine with a PSU that's 350W as long as you buy one from Seasonic, Antec, or Corsair.

 Agree.
