What do you think of this bizzare HS?

Check it out here. Scroll at the bottom of the page it's the one before the HD cooler. I'm thinking of getting one, what do you think? In the comparative test it performs pretty well.

I don't understand.. water and amonia can transfer heat as effeciently as aluminum or other solid metals?

-I know how good water coolers are, but how can a liquid be useful in trasferring heat when it sits in one place?

The mixture will actually move around when it is heated in one spot...much like a car radiator without a pump. The hot stuff will rise to the top and the cool stuff will fall to the bottom where it will be heated, and keep on going.

OK thats a good point, but if the heat rises thing happens than how well would it work in a tower where the HSF will be on its side???

Oh damn, I just read the review at HOCP, looks damn nice. Got my mouth all moist 😀

-thanks for the clearup Robotnik 🙂

Hmm, I just re-read the review and there is a note right at the bottom of the first page that says that there is NO heatpipe and it's all filled with wax! What is up with that? 🙁

The performance improvement looks sweet enough for me to want one. I'm waiting for my WBK-38 that's replacing my Super Orb (yes yes I know, I know!!). Even after I get my WBK, if the price is reasonable on this thermoengine thingie, I'm getting one.

Kyle at HardOCP cut his eval unit of this thing open to see what was in there....what he found was absolutly nothing. It looks like it is a hollow chamber.
