one of the best and one of the most common as well. Thats why i didn't buy one. But for functionality it's great.

I can attest to it being quiet and functional, having used one for my buddy's computer. Not as functional as, say, the Antec P-160, but very quiet and sleek.

They are good cases, although they're not very attractive, but that's a matter of opinion. Definately a good case though

Just build a PC with this case for a customer. Excellent layout. I cable tied the ATX motherboard connector along the top rail along with the 12v+ connector. Ended up being laid out perfectly. Also cable tied his CD/DVD writer power, floppy and SATA power connector along the outside rail. Looks sharp.

I'm not a big fan of PC's with doors on them, but I did enjoy the inside construction.

thanks for the replies guys. 2 questions:

1. Is this enough power for a hard core gaming rig with an OC'd 90nm?

2. Is this enough cooling? It only has one 120 mm fan.

My rig used to be powered by the same PSU as the one that comes with the Sonata, and I never had any problems.

The one main turn-off in regards to the Sonata was the lack of an intake fan. I have two hard drives, and IMO, that requires an intake fan.

If you only have one HD however, that may not be so much of a concern.

But remember, the Sonata is built for silence, not necessarily performance.

I'd have to ask my buddy what his temps are in order to give numbers.

I get pretty decent temps with this case. 34c CPU, 54c GPU, 31c ambient with the stock 120mm fan plus a NV5 and a 80mm fan I drilled a hole for on the side panel for intake. Also running 2 HD's, 2 optical drives, and pretty much a 6800U off the power supply no problem.

Kind of plain for my tastes, but a good case. You might want to consider a more muscular 3rd party PSU with the future in mind.

18A on the +12V rail should be enough for two Raptors and a 6800GT. The 90nm also use less power than the 130nm so you should be fine.

"Should" is a scary word when you're talking about powering some fairly expensive FRU's. There's nothing wrong with having some "peace of mind" overhead at some point and room for those inevitable additions.

The only downside I see in this case is the door that covers up the drives also covers up the power button. If you run 24x7 this won't be an issue. If you shut down nightly like me, then the door gets to be a pain.

That door is no more a pain than your zipper on your pants is when you have to go pp.ANd how many times a day do you do that?

would it have been so hard to put the power button outside of the door? just my observation, im not saying everyone is as lazy or annoyed by little things like me though. i would still highly recommend this case if you have the money but thought I would just point it out.

i would personally go for the thermaltake tsunami, just because i think it looks sleeker, but if i was trying to save money i would go with this one and get an intake fan.

The new Sonata power supply has 24A on the 12 volt line. Antec doesn't like to talk about this because some retailers that sit on stock for a long time may have an old one. With 24A, you should be good to go unless you completely fill up the case with drives.

Regarding the case in general, it has lots of nice features but the metal is too thin to be considered top of the line in my opinion.

Overall it's a nice case. I own one.

How many times do you pee per day?
How many times do you turn your computer on & off per day?
Case rested.
Besides that the door offers more noise isolation and accidental power on/off protection, especially if there are toddlers in the house, dust protection for the external drive bays, not to mention smoother, integrated front facing.

What you're claiming to be an annoyance just simply isn't,no matter how you look at it.
