It also seems A LOT slower than before too.
Seconded.

Now it seems faster to me. Ten minutes ago it was crawling and took a few minutes to load so I went to the front page and looked around then took the link(didn't have anything to do with it) from there and now it is super fast.

Liked the old, simple looking forum. I guess change is hard...:(

I don't really care what color it is, this gray and yellow is not offensive.. I'll get used to the appearance but is there a way to bigger the font? this one discriminates against those of us over 40..

I'd proof this, if I could see it..

Whats up with the text boxes going from white to a strangle looking green/blue while highlighted.

My question is was this software even tested before being implemented? The secret password thing was annoying even without being asked it multiple times. Changing options around in the profile takes at least three tries before it finnaly does anything.

edit:

Aside from the problems at least the text is displayed properly in Opera. No more empty boxes in place of stuff lke quotation marks.

The color scheme is highly questionable. That's not a pretty shade of... yellow, or tan... or whatever it is.

PSA: If you're using a firewall try shutting it off - I was having this problem until I turned ZoneAlarm off. The mods better fix this...:|

I agree, it looks bloated, slow, and like it was made for visually impaired people using the bright colors. I want it changed back, won't happen, but it would be nice. Hopefully as it evolves and I get used to it I will be able to enjoy it like I did the last layout...but probably not. :|

Can't stand it. I'm guessing no one else can change profile information either. (?)

EDIT: And like Jen, it's making me dizzy, giving me a headache.

Ok, someone here really fvcked up this time. Have you ever heard of TESTING? I totally re-did my website and re-structured portions of the database. I spent an entire week testing everything accross the 3 major browsers (Mozilla, IE, NS). I then produced a changeover checksheet. I then mirrored the live database and went through the changeover twice. Finally, I ran a full system backup and kept that on the server. Last, I actually did the changes to the live site and database. I had the backup on hand so that at the first hint of trouble, I could change everything back in a few moments.

Now, what the heck were you guys doing? I understand that with forums as large as AT, it is a bigger project, but still!

No problem here. I had to go in and amend my sig, though, because it somehow messed up the links to waste tons of letters, making it an illegal sig. Annoying but no big deal.

This forum was in beta for quite some time. Not everyone bothered to test it. I did. Also, this version of FuseTalk has been out for quite some time as well.

I never heard of an open beta test.

It was here but of course it's gone now.
