What do you think of the Blizzard water cooling kits from overclockershideout?

I got ~$150 for my birthday, & I've been considering getting into watercooling. I'm tired of the noise my air cooled system makes.

This looked appealing:

I'd be getting the Socket 7 kit, for use on my Celeron II. It does 952 with my current Golden Orb/rear mounted 50mm, but I want more. That and silence would be nice. I'd also be getting the dual pump reservoir for a total of 290 gph flow, plus the video cooling kit. Total cost would be $160 for the socket 7 kit, $30 to add a second pump, $35 for the video kit, $10 for tube insulation (probably cheaper if I get it somewhere else, but figure $10 just for discussion), & $5 for shipping. Total would come to around $250.

My reasons for liking the kit are:

- It's a kit. All in one box, nice & easy.
- The water reservoir is sweet, could probably be very securely mounted to the bottom of my SC760A case. I also like the integrated pumps.
- The 70 watt peltier is nice.

My biggest dislike, of course, is the price. It's expensive as hell. Maybe I'd be better off just buying the dual pump reservoir from them, & doing the rest myself from other places.

Thoughts?

And,if you like, the reservoir looks like one of the PVC outdoor electical boxes you can get at a good hardware store for around 7 bucks. Drill a few holes add the 3/8 inch barb hose connectors and drill the hole for the 120v ac line for the pump(s) and you are there. 7 bucks for tank and about 2 bucks for each hose barb...

So you may just need to buy the waterblock if you want to build your own. Pumps can be found that will fit into the tank at large hardware stores or fishtank pumps (depending on height of water travel). It is nice to get a pre manufactured kit...but as you have noticed you can build your own.

first some resources-
talk to Roger, he's the local watercooling guru
check out Roger's article at http://www.tweakmax.com
http://www.overclockers.com has plenty of water and peltier cooling info

Eldraard is dead on about the reservoir, see http://www.overclockers.com/tips85

I'm sure you can proably build a system for cheaper than Hideout. I might leave out the peltier though, at least at first because it brings in a whole new set of problems, power, condensation etc.One more thing, why do you want to use insulation on your hoses? you dont need it unless you are chilling the water pretty heavily and then pumping in through the waterblock.

It is a pretty solid rig. My system is very similar and runs very well. You can save some money by piecing it together, but not that much.
