Well, Ted Nugent is coming over to do a lecture in the coming days and I've only vaguely heard of him (mostly his music). I've heard he is very controversial and caused an uproar at Michigan State recently. I'm wondering if I should go... it's free, by the way.
 
He is not an Ozzie Osborn, burned out druggie. You may not agree with what he has to say. You will hear an intelligent, passionate man that will back-up what he has to offer.
Ted is a avid hunter gun collector...

Edit: At least he has an opinion that he is willing to express and not play to a marketing
agenda.

Definitely go. Check out his website. He's all about the right to bear arms and not polluting your body
 
He's hugely obnoxious, but at least he's not one to sugar-coat things. I can respect that even if I don't agree with him on many issues.

Exactly. Unless you're a vegan it's completely hypocritical to bitch about hunting where the animal killed is actually eaten.

His opinions about hunting, baiting (ie jelly donuts to catch bears), assault weapons ownership/access, and most of the other issues the nra lobbies for that put innocent citizens at risk and facilitate the use of guns to perpetrate violent crimes, including a complete lack of ownership accountability once a gun is purchased.

I love his anti-drug stance because him being a former hard rocker he's a huge aberration to a messed up culture, but otherwise the only noise he can make that has any value at all imo is with his guitar.
 
Mediocre third-tier 70's rock star more famous for his big mouth than his talent. To be fair, I'd rather listen to his boneheaded political views than Micheal Stipe's.

You do realize that people that legally own assault weapons tend to not be the ones using them in crimes, do you not?
