What do you think of someone who interjects a few lines of poetry into a conversation?

Every now and then he quotes a poet, appropriate for the subject of conversation I might add.
What do you think of a person who does this?

I'd tell the person I need to take the road less travelled to get away from them.

Seriously, it makes me think of two roads diverging in a yellow wood.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Ya but whose woods are those? Wait, I think I know, his house is in the village though.

It shows someone is literate and reads poetry, which is a plus in my book. There is an appropriateness factor that needs to be applied, though. I would think a well placed quote would be great now and then but if it happens too often it could become borish and tiresome and a bit showoffy.

Well, I would find that odd and probably annoying after a short while, but I'm not a big poetry fan. I'm sure plenty of women find it enthralling, while probably assuming he's gay.

He quotes a poet or an actual poem? Bukowski is an idol of mine, and while I?ll use some quotes of his from time to time, they?re all his off-the-cuff remarks and not excerpts of his work.

I guess it could be either creepy or impressive, depending on your interest and motives.

That would be ok, but I'd have to be there to pass judgment.
