i just installed opera on my linux machine and i sort of like it even though when i used it a few years ago i didnt like it. it seems pretty quick and i like mouse gestures

personally i think it's one of the better browsers. it's market share is measly
but most major inovations, they came up with. (tabs).

a lot of the features added to FF with extensions, already exist in opera.
the current release (10.53 i believe) is also quite fast.

I like it. The interface is nice and it seems fast, but I happen to use Chrome as my primary browser.

I've been happily using Opera for something to the tune of 7 or 8 years now. I've never found myself wanting to switch.

The only recurring problem I have is ocassionally when I close Opera, the executable will remain open 'invisibly' and my PC gets pretty sluggish until I force close it through the task manager. But small price to pay for excellent speed, security, and customization.

I've been using it for 10 years now, and I find it far better out of the box than Firefox, or any other browser, and 10.5, even with its problems, I find better than anything else.

Of course, it might be because I'm a fanboy.

I like it pretty well. Here's my list of browser choices in order...

Firefox
Opera
Chrome
IE
Safari :^D :^D :^D

I think i agree with most of you . It is certainly nice and fast but i still like firefox more than any other browser. earlier versions of opera were a little unstable, and the current version crashed on me twice, but opera still has lots of nice features. mouse gestures to back and forward and refresh are very convenient

I like the magic wand button on it a lot. I have firefox and chrome too, I use them for specific things.
chrome - trusted websites that don't matter (ie A.T.)
firefox - random browsing
opera - my banks, sites that I administer, important stuff, short term use disposable emails from my ISP, I love the email client.
IE8 - microsoft.com and bullshit that only works with IE8.

ive used nothing but opera for close to 10 years, never had an issue and Ive never felt that a different browser has done anything better or faster

I like it well enough to keep installing it when I build new machines, but it's never managed to become my primary.

Its pretty good i try the new versions everytime they come out. Actually my favorite parts of browsing are from opera, Fast dial and they started tabs right?

But i still find addons for FF to be better.

Probably need to switch my grandparents to this because of the "boost" function that it has. They are in a area where only dial-up is available.

At least 5 browsers had tabs before Opera, and many nonbrowsers had tabs as well. I first encountered tabs in an IE shell 3 years before Opera had them.

Browsing - it seems plenty fast and fine...

My disappointment with Opera was the Fileserver function in OperaUnite... tried using it to have my parents download some videos from my computer 400 miles away...

It seemed flaky (disconnects during downloads) and slow (only about 50-60 Kbps)...

Anyone else has experience with Unite?
