budget?

how's the psu holding up?

interested in a 20" monitor? i'm sure it'll take more advantage of the x1900xtx than the 19"

maybe dual core soon? conroe?

I would say your system is pretty nice as is. Maybe you should add some peripherals to your setup. Maybe a nice joystick, headphones, or something along those lines.

-if you like your LCD and don't want to upgrade to something bigger, get another LCD of the same type

-upgrade to an Athlon X2

-get a Seasonic PSU and upgrade all of your fans to noiseless ones

-upgrade to a stronger motherboard and flush your old RAM out and get DDR800 (AM2)

-more pretty case mods

-last but not least, your car

Go for a big, widescreen LCD and then wait for a few months to see what happens in the CPU and video card markets.

edit - I forgot to say, widescreen gaming is the business.

BUDGET BUDGET BUDGET!!!

How are we supposed to tell you what to get if you don't tell us how much you are willing to spend?

P.S. there is no suck thing as a "Logitech Z-5300 Sound System". They go from 2300 to 5450 to 5500.

That monitor is twice the cost of his system...and could possibly cause excessive drooling and or seizures.

Actually that monitor would be about the cost of his current system or a bit less.. cause he has 2 of those 150Gig Raptors in there which is a big chunk o' change.

I say your machine is fine as is for now.. if you want a bigger monitor, go for it, but everything is pretty decent on your machine already. Do you have any qualms with frame rates or anything on your machine? If not, then wait out the wave as next gen stuff starts pouring in.

We get them for $1550 through a VAR. That is a steal considering they are practically identical to the 30" Apple that cost 2X that. :|

Even though, a monitor is probably the best investment if you want to call it that in your system. Like a cheap-o floppy, it can last for many generations of builds IF you take care of it. Mine is clamped down so it can't fall over like a 2405 did (but surived with just a hairline crack in the bezel!).

As far as drooling and seizure part - you know I've found that if I'm closer than about 18" to the screen I have to turn my head to see everything which is getting just a little out of control. 30" back is very nice. Games like NFS MW are as fun as any arcade would be. Really gets the pulse going when the cops are trying to take you out. ;)

Unless you want to spend some money, which is okay, I can't think of anything. BTW, congrats on a bitchin-big overclock.

You're right. Socket F is the next AMD server CPU socket.
