What do you think of Lindows OS 3.0?

If you're going to be using linux, actually use linux instead of lindows...In a word, its pure crap. They took everything that was good about linux, ripped it out, and then sold it for $99, plus a subscription fee for downloading software for it. And that thing about it being able to run windows programs? Thats not anything different from what any other distro can do with the right software (wine, wineX, and codeweavers wine plugins and all that)

I'd recommend Red Hat or Mandrake instead of Lindows...

I have tried Lindows along with all the new distros and I am now using SuSe 8.1 and Lycoris primarily, Lycoris is better than Lindows and can be downloaded free, try it Lycoris

why care if they charg 130 us dollars for there OS? It goes back to help out linux and all the free downloads most of you linux users uses to get linux. Instead of talking great things about why one os is garbage or why the other rules or why this one cost so much go out and buy linux before there is no more linux! Yeah, that can happen don't ever think linux stands a chance of totaly being here for all of your life.

You, my friend, don't understand Linux if you think this way. The pure nature of open source means that so long as 1 person wants it to, Linux lives. Companies like Microsoft pay people to work on Windows, but beyond that group anybody who is in love with Windows just takes what he can get from MS. If you love Linux (as many, many programmers do), then if you want something different from it you can change it. Need it to work with a new technology? Change it to. Linux will always be here, regardless of of if it ever becomes mainstream and has commercial off-the-shelf games for it, Linux will endure for those who want it. No amount of money, or lack thereof can change that.
