they have a ton of room inside, i'd rock one, decent gas mileage also
to bad it's shaped like a box and not something more aerodynamic or it would probably get another 4-5mpg hah!

i used to really like em when they first debuted but now they don't really do anything for me.

Id def use it as a company vehicle though, wrap it in graphics and be done.

How does it have good gas mileage? 24mpg nowadays isn't really a whole lot. It's actually worse than what it should be given that it's anemic and has a small motor.
Not to mention it looks like a refrigerator on wheels. Ugly.

For some reason I have always liked the box shape of the first-gen xB's. I keep thinking it would be fun to throw an LS3 in one with accompanying drivetrain upgrades. That would surprise a few people.

I used to hate it, but they've grown on me. Certainly much better than the 2nd gen.

same here. also, i sat in one and was surprised at the room i had available.

it looks useful/functional... except for that stupid ass front bumper

front is the main thing that would keep me from owning one too. i wonder if theres a way to "roll pan" that front without losing much structure?

24 works for me, its a bunch better than the 16 im getting now. ive never driven one, so i dont really know how slushy they are or not tho.

I like them.
I just don't like the stock powerplants in vehicles like that (and the Fit also comes to mind)

hmm that's odd, most of the people on the scion forums get anywhere from 28-32mpg

and 24 would be good for me, better than the 16 or so i get now also

Could be a good car, but it's ugly as sin. A face only a mother could love.

My Buddie hasn't had a tank below 30mpg in the year He's had his.

looks better than the cube.

but on a non-aestetic basis, the cube is a great fucking car. xB, meh. reliable, at least.

edit: clicked links; actually, nevermind. i forgot the first gen was a cardboard box with a bubba gump lip. newer one is a lot better.

This. I believe the EPA city was 30mpg for them. I'm a fan of small boxes, the most rational form of everyday transpo out there in terms of efficiency and utility. This is why I've always had either a VW van (back in the day) or a Nissan or Toyota or Honda wagon in my driveway.

That said, the people that hate them seem to hate them with a rare and burning passion, like that innocent little box fucked their wife and killed their dog or something. D:
