A lot of things could happen that are hard to predict, but other things could have been foretold based on current events beforehand. Sometimes its good to keep up with every news story from around the world. I know there are think tanks in government (cia, etc.) that sit around all day and try to predict the future based on news events. Take for example the conflict in Georgia last year. The Russians had been expresssing alot of hostility towards the former satellite state and at one point sent a MIG out to destroy an UAV (which was all caught on tape and played a few months before the incursion). Who knew that would presage the event? Thankfully cooler heads prevailed and Russia withdrew its forces, but its still a tinderbox. And Georgia wants to be a NATO member!
While it is difficult to predict future events, some things are rather glaring but we tend to ignore them and hope they dont happen. What do you think might happen later this year? :Q
04/14/09 I think gasoline will go from the current $2 per gallon back to near $3 based on speculators returning to the market and a minor recovery in the economy.
