I don't know a thing, but when I hear "French", I think lots of rich sauces, complex arrangements, and subtle flavors. Also pretentious. Take this with a pound of salt, but that's my impression. I suspect French "country fare" would be a bigger hit with me. I have simple tastes, and I'm not a foodie. Like the rest of my life; with food, I want you to get to the point, and state it clearly. I'm not so interested in subtleties.

For some reason when I hear the word French I think of a ww2 tank with only one gear -- reverse......
