I'd have to say, the c word. As The c word will usually offend any woman, the n word generally applies only to black people. Since there is a bigger percentage of women than black people. (and there just so happen to be black women) I'm gonna go with the C word.

Apparently, it implies the woman is 'an object useful only for sexual gratification of men' with no other useful purpose/function in life. It IS pretty insulting.

The "n" word is more offensive if a non-black person is saying it to a black.
You say the "c" word to a woman and get their reaction. Say the "n" word to a black, and the woman's reaction will be tame compaired.

Calling a black person "a black" is offensive.

one's just a body part, the other is a racial slur.

it's only offensive if a white person says it to a black person:roll: if they say it to/at each other it's all fine. c/nt is offensive to everyone.

That't not what I meant though. I have no problem calling a black person "a black person". But referring them to "blacks" or "a black" rubs me the wrong way.

Like - "those blacks down the road invited us over to dinner."
Or Like - "You know who I'm talking about, the guy from HR... he's a black."

Calling them "a" black is differnt then calling someone black.

My sentence structure is a mess in that post. I was typing quickly.
I failed to type "person" afterwards. It was not intentional.

Would have to say it's the infamous "C" word. I discussed this with my g/f and she said it would be the most horrible word you could ever call a girl.

Shrug.

N*gger trumps c*nt any day. Both are insults; only one has history, and social implications behind it. Also, use of c*nt is directed at one person specifically, and does not necessarily imply the offending user is a mysogynist. Indeed, plenty of women will call another woman a c*nt with out hesitation. However, one use of the word n*gger, while often directed at one person, tends to imply that the user is making a statement about an entire race (they are certainly letting their opinions on the subject known, being that most who aren't racist shy away from the word). Chris Rock proposes a good argument on the topic (yeah, pretty much what Pryor said--I'm referring to the difference between African Americans and n*ggers), but n*gger does have far more behind it thatn c*nt ever will.

As far as these forums though, I would have to agree that "evolution" or "atheist" are the most offensive words :p

But as someone else already said, all you have to do is turn on the radio to the local hip hop station or tune into MTV and your going to hear it or a dirivative. Sure they might change the -er to an -a but its still the same thing no matter if black people say its different or not. And it doesn't matter to me that black people think they can call each other that and white person can't say it at all, utter ignorance there. Personally, the term has lost all meaning for me personally, its part of culture.

Where as with the "see you en tee" word.....well, its said that hell hath no fury like a women scorned and most women hate that word. For one women to call another that implies utter hatred and disdain toward that person. In fact, I don't know that I've ever heard another women call a women that in public. Sure you call a black guy the n word and you might get shot and die, but women are vindictive - they can do things and drag hatred and scorn on for so long you'll wish you could die so peacefully.

The C word wins

Tough question, I think the answer is different for every person because certain words hurt people more than others.. I don't if there can be a consensus.

Personally, I'd have to go with "n!gger" as the one that has the ability to piss off the greatest amount of people.

No, not really. The percentage of people who get that mad is a fairly low percentage; at least compared to the 50% who would get mad at the "C" word.

N|gger used in a racist context would get people a lot angrier than cvnt because it attacks an entire group of people rather than a single person. If you call one person a n|gger, a black person across the street will be just as offended as the person you're talking to. Call a woman a cvnt and she may be extremely mad, but that same person across the street probably wouldn't care.

Regardless of how "n|gger" is used outside of a racial context, its meaning is rooted in hundreds of years of history, and will always have a greater effect than any word that is a simple personal insult.

agreed. n*gger = ugliest word in the english language... can't stand the fact that people still say it when they're describing an urban, ghetto, or uneducated black person. it's 2000-fvcking-7...

I honestly can't think of a word that offends me (although there are many that annoy me) but the one that offends the most people the worst is probably the n-word.
