EE? fsck no, the EEs are in phear of the biochemgineers.
I highly doubt that. I'm a biomedical engineer (although I realize it's not the not the same as biochem) and the EE curriculum is much harder. I already have to take many of the same classes as biochem (full year of freshman bio, upper class bio, full year of freshman chem, full year of organic chem, etc.) Even then I will have to concede EE is harder...just the subject of electricity is hard already, then they have to take a buttload of physics beyond what us life science engineers have to take.
Pre med is fairly brutal, they really want to weed you out. You'll need to be skilled in all the physical and life sciences.
I'm both in BME and in premed. Premed is brutal indeed because of the competition. However, the thing that I find annoying is how those regular Premeds (the ones majoring in non engineering, notably biology) take easier classes than me in some premed subjects. Such as physics; we take "general physics 201" series which is much harder than their "college physics 101" series. General is calculus based, and it's a weedout class to really identify those who really want to be in engineering. Then we have to take "Organic Chemistry for Engineering" which is basically 3 quarters of regular OChem reduced in two quarters. Premeds have it easy compared to engineering premeds.
Yep, get B's and that will hurt your chances pretty badly. If you get a C in any premed class then kiss your chances of med school goodbye.
